Welcome to round two of intention setting for 2022.
Yesterday we talked about why resolutions suck and that it’s best to kick them to the curb.
Instead, we’re opening ourselves up to an intention.
Intentions are a way of embodying a commitment to a practice (feeling healthy) without draconian expectations (gym every day, no junk food), but instead embracing an overarching idea (I love my body).
Over the course of a few days, I’m walking you through creating your intention for 2022.
We started with a few journal/exploration questions.
Settle in with your pen and paper for today’s journal questions.
I suggest a rapid fire approach, write the first things that come to mind. Your brain will secretly, behind-the-scenes mull these questions over. Don’t be surprised if more thoughts pop-up when you’re driving, showering, or doing the dishes. You can always add to your answers.
What goals did you set for yourself in 2021?
Did you achieve any? Which ones?
How did your goals change throughout the course of the year?
Did you make any resolutions for 2021?
How did you do with that?
List any goals for 2022.
What brings you joy?
What lights you on fire?
What do you want more of?
What do you want to leave behind?
Ok, that’s your homework for today. I’ll see you again tomorrow!
