Is everyone off traveling on vacation somewhere? 

It feels like that’s the case, like they’re leaving us to scroll through their selfies on breezy beaches and drool-inducing dinners al fresco in epically quaint European villages. 

*sigh*

I’m not implying that this is an amazing time to be galavanting about the world. Sure, the Euro is on par with the dollar, making continental travel a bit of a bargain. But, OMG, so many flights canceled by airlines. So many positive COVID tests bringing the best laid plans to a screeching halt.

And yet, still so many travel posts and friends out-of-town.  It’s enough to make those of us staying put less-than-thrilled with our status as armchair travelers. 

I’m going to attempt to polish this turd for us with two different options.

Two views that are always thrilling: sunsets and container ships.
