Yay for glimmers, the sparkling reminders that life is good, or at least, not completely crappy.
Since we talked about glimmers the other day, I’ve become increasingly aware of what some of mine are. While I love stumbling into one, I don’t want to leave lovely moments to chance. If we know what our glimmers are, we can create more opportunities to experience them, thus making life a bit less sucky, like planting a pot of fuschia geraniums outside my kitchen window or keeping a emergency stash of googly eyes in my bag.
So how do we keep track of our glimmers?
I’m a huge fan of making lists, especially lists about lovely things and not work/chores. While handwritten lists in little notebooks or scrap paper are the best thing ever, they aren’t always practical.
So, yay technology and that diabolical device with access to all of the knowledge of the known universe. You don’t have to struggle with keeping a mental list [insert infomercial montage of frustrated people pulling out their hair trying to recall things], you can make a list in your notes app. You can keep adding to it for as long as you live. It will be a way cooler list than say your last periods or mileage for taxes.
