I’m always on the hunt for mid-week snack-break fun. (I won’t waste our time with boring.)
For shits and grins I googled “joy list.” In .24 seconds, Google offered me almost one and a half BILLION hits. I glanced at a few. They were similar in how they differed. While there are some things that we can agree on bring joy (baths, nature, music), so much of it is personal (4 wheeling, photo editing, Chucky Cheese, blogging, D&D).
I want us to share our joy. As much as I love lists, *yawn*.
So how to communicate our microdoses of joy and have fun?
I found some inspiration from Jen & Bri, the goddesses behind Spider Spider. Earlier this year, they hosted a Silent Scribble Session. At the appointed time, we assembled in Google Meet, each of us in our own space, and scribbled silently, together. At the end of the session, we were invited to contribute an image of our drawing to a collaborative slide deck.
How it felt to see my image/idea nestled among other cool stuff: absolutely fucking thrilling!
How it felt to see the whole project come together: again, absolutely fucking thrilling!
I propose we try something like that.
This is 100% experiment. I’ve created a slide deck to share our joy bombs. You’ll need to be logged in to your google account to add images, but not to add words and random shapes, or to view it.
It’s this easy:
Think of something that brings you joy.
Find an image/picture1 or gif that represents your joy.
Have a look around through the slides.
Copy/paste or drag/drop it on one of the slides in a way that makes you happy.
Repeat if desired.
A few thoughts
There is a slide with some helpful tips in the deck, in case you have questions.
Add as much as you’d like
This is a safe, happy, sharing space. Please respect that and keep it that way. 2
Don’t yuck someone’s yum.
It can be from your photos or a sticker from your phone.
If I have to spell it out for you, please dear god, no dick pics or porn.
I LOVE THIS!!!!!! Will be getting to it this evening :D
